The young Camille feels increasing contempt for her husband Paul when he offers himself to an American producer as a script doctor and is asked to rewrite Fritz Lang's Odyssey film to make it a success. Conversely, Paul observes how the American makes advances to his wife and what this triggers in all three of them.
